Midwinter, or sometimes it's called first day of winter. I like the latter best: I don't want the winter to go away soon. It snowed today. At last :)

I like these dark winter days, when the dawn breaks about midday, and the dusk comes shortly after, the day never getting bright, here in my circle of yellow lamp light. Dark and calm. Grayscale landscape outside and crisp night air.

I couldn't make my embedded javascript work, so I had to add a gadget up there.
Enjoy the snow :)

I just hope someday I'll find a way to do it properly...
(I tried both embedding js script right into post field and inserting a link to .js (or .txt) file. Doesn't work.)
