Back from Vilnius

hills
The first thing you notice about Vilnius is its hilly relief. It's wonderful! Flat cities are so dull.

uždaryta
Closed! In the Old Town, it's either too early or too late :)

cats
There are lots of cats :) Cute.

balloons in the sky
There are several companies offering hot air balloon flights.

ladies wear perfume
Or maybe the air is fresh enough to notice people's perfumes.

cars smell
Well, differently.

iki
Why in the world would they name a supermarket "Bye"? I mean, not "Hi" or "Welcome"?
Okay, I googled that:
In Lithuanian, "iki" means a joyful good-bye for a short time. We say "see you soon", "see you later", or "see you" when we know that we will meet somebody very soon again. The retail chain IKI says "Iki!" to its customers inviting them to come back and remember that they are always welcome and loved here.

dog-friendly
I've seen dogs in shops and cafes. Not that many, but more than in other places I've been to.

changing weather
I thought we have fast-changing weather here. Apparently, it means that if the weather is fine today, it can go bad tomorrow or in the evening. There in Vilnius the weather really changes, going from cool and rainy to sunshine and back again in one day.

snails
They have great big snails there! :)
